Beverly Preston sucked me in once again and I did absolutely nothing until I finished this book. She sent me into a roller coaster of emotions but it was well worth it. I loved JC's story and I am glad that she finally found the love of her life. You are going to want to jump into the story and kick, scream and punch people but keep on reading. Beverly knows what she is doing. Keep reading and push through because you know it will get better. I am trying to not give anything away and spoil the book for you. I loved the entire series but this may be the best one yet. I look forward to hearing more about the family and I hope she is not done. I would love to have more updates on the family members and I would love to know about JC and Reed.Product details

This is the fourth book I've read by Beverly Preston and I'm really sad to have reached the end of the Mathews family series (I assume!). I have thoroughly enjoyed each of the books and have read them all in a matter of days, reading late into the night just wanting to know what happens next! I guess I'm happy I'll be able to catch up on my sleep now. Whilst the characters are somewhat too good to be true the way the book is written makes you want to keep reading so you know they will be ok.
This book touches on a sensitive issue with honesty and openness and is obviously written by someone who can relate. Hats off to you Beverly Preston you are a strong woman with a writing style that captures the reader from the first page. Keep it up & I look forward to reading your next publication.
I discovered the Matthews family when I read No More Wasted Time. Tests and Tom quickly became my favorites because they were older and I was tired of young good girl falls for bad boy books. Book 4 is youngest daughter JC's story......after reading this I have even more love for Tom. He is the ideal stepfather. Reed.....OMG....he's a hot TEXAN and absolutely yummy. Praying that Beverly keeps this family series going
I've loved this series from the beginning when I found No More Wasted a Time as a freebie a few years ago. I can't say just how much I loved this series of books. Surviving Broken was beautifully written with a real storyline that brought me to tears. I absolutely recommend Beverly Preston to everyone!
OMG. This book will take you on one hot ride. I knew JC's story would be one emotional roller coaster, but nothing will prepare you for it. Ms. Preston told her readers that we would fall in lust with Reed, and yes we did, and that if we thought we loved Tom in the previous books of this series that we would love him even more and she was true to her word. JC & Reed have to go thru so much individually and then together as a couple learning that love is possible regardless of your past life, your beliefs or a silly rulebook. Hats off to Beverly, we just fell deeper in love with the Matthews/Clemmons/Rider Family.
This book...this book is incredibly special. Beverly Preston is a special kind of person to write something so touching. JC's story was an amazingly touching one of surviving domestic violence, of rising above circumstance, and of choosing her own happiness. Reed's story is one of a loss so profound, and a heartbreak so crushing that my heart broke for him. His story is about finding happiness with JC and being the strength and comfort that she needs. This a beautifully written story with a happily ever after we all dream of.
I have read all of the book in this series. You don'thave to read all the books to enjoy this book. It is a stand alone book. But if you started from the beginning it feels like being home and catching up with the family. However, this one deals with a very serious issue of abuse. It is an eye opener to say the least. Reading this might also help you understand what the abused person is going threw. But most of all it is a wonderful love story. I recommend this book highly. I can't wait to see what other books Beverly is going to write about next.

Beverly does it again. I simply love this series and every single book I love it more and more. We have been on this ride with these characters for some time and you feel like they're your own family. I have loved JC from previous books and I was so excited to read about her story. We start off and she literally runs into Luca. Luca is sexy and Italian, what more could we ask for? right? well, I didn't see this coming. This book is a bit darker and differen't from Beverly's past books, and in a good way. It broke my heart what JC had to go through and Luca, ugh. I loved him at the start and then I wanted to rip his balls off and feed them to him! totally a$$hole! and then we meet Reed. Oh Reed, I love you. It was hauntingly beautiful and true. It was real and I could relate to JC in many ways. Beverly handled this subject and the story with grace and I am so very proud of her. She continues to blow my mind and her writing is impeccable. Reed is sexy and helps JC see that she is not broken and she can live again. The books has many highs and lows. But I think everyone will love it as much as I did and be very pleasantly surprised about everything that happens. I loved it, I want MORE as always and I never want this series to end. These guys are part of my life and my family and they have a place in my heart always. Thank you once again Beverly! must read book ladies and gents! <3
